Kudos Chat Search for Skype allows you to search & manage your Skype Chat History and Skype Accounts. It provides immediate access to any chat conversation you have had on Skype with powerful search by term, persons or date. Account management is catered for with on-demand backup and restore of any of your Skype accounts. It also has the ability to export specific or all of your chat history into CSV format, as well as the soon to arrive ability to delete specific Skype chat history and a new ‘private chatting’ feature, which will prevent conversations being recorded on to the computer when you want to chat privately. In a month or so cloud backup, search and restore will be available too.

While the current version is primarily aimed at the professional user, Kudos Knowledge are releasing monthly updates to this product and have a road map that aims to completely remove the issues around corporations adopting instant messaging as a company communication method. The enterprise road map provides for company level searching and mining of IM chats in the cloud, as well as the ability to integrate chatting with popular CRM systems. This means that just like email, Instant Messaging can be used, recorded, logged and searched, like other traditional methods. It is this enterprise market that Kudos wants to focus on.

Roadmap

Kudos Knowledge will be releasing a new version every month. The decision to include the ‘export to csv’ feature was the result of considerable feedback and market analysis. As a result, next month, Kudos Chat Search will be releasing both a delete skype history feature and a private chatting feature. The delete feature will allow the user to select what they want to delete using the search function and then delete it permanently. The private chatting feature will allow a user to chat in Skype while preventing those chats being stored on the local computer.

User Base

Demand for this solution has been growing rapidly and Kudos Knowledge are adapting quickly to it. The result is a soaring user base in the personal and professional market. However enterprise solutions for corporations is still the target market for this product.
